Me + banana leaf

Me + banana leaf

I grew up in Ireland, am a proud Canadian citizen, and live in California. I like bacon, snow, good coffee, good hair days, programming, graphic design, sitting still in front of my laptop, painting, and generally learning new and interesting things. I live in an overpriced 450 sqft studio apartment in North Berkeley with my husband, who is basically a perfect human.

I have an undergraduate degree in zoology from the University of Toronto, and did my PhD at the University of Guelph in southern Ontario. I’ve published a bunch of papers and book chapters on the impacts of climate change on agriculture, which make for some light bedtime reading.

I’ve been studying art at the Atelier School of Classical Realism for 2 years under the instruction of the colorful and brilliant David Hardy. All of my work is done from life (though I’m eager to expand my themes and subjects by using photography).

If you’re interested in any of my work, have questions about commissions, or have interesting things to say about art, feel free to get in touch using the contact page on my website.
